With a course of 16 years and being the largest contemporary music festival in Greece, reworks has curated and hosted many special projects at the world’s first world premiere. Supporting and promoting a wide range of contemporary music, reworks supports contemporary classical music and its creators. A partnership of the reworks festival with the Deputy Mayor of Culture of Thessaloniki and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. After the successful concerts of Max Richter in 2014 and Grandbrothers in 2018, reworks joined forces once again with the Thessaloniki City Symphony Orchestra presenting an extraordinary digital concert.
35 musicians of TCSO at the open space of Thessaloniki Concert Hall will combine their symphonic sound with the atmospheric compositions of AND.ID, presenting for the first time a different orchestral version of his new album “Algol Paradox”. A work released in June 2020, receiving wide critical acclaim.
For almost two decades, AND.ID remains one of the main ambassadors of the greek electronic music scene. Whether it’s house or techno, melodic or organic, percussive grooves, or rough and edgy snares, one thing is certain: whether on deck live, playing records or leading a full band,, AND.ID delivers. His latest – exclusive – project for reworks is one of the most ambitious of his and certainly a landmark in his successful career.
This year’s exclusive project under the reworks connekt, is a world first. The sounds of electronic music, an electric keyboard and a saxophone, are harmoniously complemented by an orchestral ensemble, with the result being impressive.
